What's behind PrimalProtein&Plants?

Primal = essential or fundamental, protein is in every cell of the body & plants are just damn good for you, they fuel and nourish your body with the nutrients your body craves.

 

This is not a just another diet program, nor will it “work” for everyone. Health is individualized and there is no one-size fits all. The best “diet” is one you can stick to long term and one that makes you feel your best. This guide teaches you and allows you to focus on the foods you ARE eating not what you should exclude, guess what? You CAN eat anything. But… does that mean you should eat anything and everything?! Learn more in the guidebook. 

There are no rules, because rules were meant to be broken anyway.

I created this guide because as a nutrition professional I was heartbroken and sick of people feeling UN-energized, confused about nutrition, yo-yo dieting jumping on every bandwagon that passed by, participating in self-sabotaging behaviors and on top of everything not gaining the energy they wanted. 

 

This is a real life strategy to support a healthy yet individual lifestyle, it’s a way of life, it is not a diet. This Primal Protein & Plants guide is a way to live actively eating nutrient dense foods to help you in your health journey. Eat Plants

Eating a variety of veggies, fruits, whole grains, legumes, nuts, seeds and other whole foods fuel the body optially. Eating this way, it is unlikely that you are deficient in protein. We can get protein from both animal and plant sources, the goal here is to eat more plant sources.

Mindset

First you must trust yourself and listen to your body. To change your nutrition you must first tune in with attention to the thoughts and actions around food. Having a healthy relationship with food and tuning out all the “diet” noise is helpful. Tune in with attention, eating what is best for you.

Move

Move in a way that makes you feel energized and in a way you like. Set goals to move your body through yoga, running, walking, biking, swimming, HIIT, or all of the above. Listen to your body and start slow and work your way up to where you want to be.

Fuel

Eating nutrient dense whole foods, including carbohydrates, beneficial fats and nourishing protein sources. Mindfully paying attention to portions along with intentions will help you meet your goals without obsessing over every number, including the number on the scale.

Mindful eating is eating with intention and attention. Pay attention to the way food makes you feel can help lead you in your choices and help you meet your goals. Slowing down and giving yourself the time to nourish your body will give you confidence and energy to continue to eat well.

What types of foods will I see in the guide?

You will see whole food ingredients, options including a variety of green veggies, leafy greens, whole fruits, seeds & nuts, wild salmon, lean proteins, lentils and beans. Options are full of antioxidants, fiber, vitamins, minerals all with the intention to nourish your body.

 

What if I am vegan? vegetarian? or have food allergies?

This guidebook is plant based but is not specific to one particular diet, there are options for most all lifestyles and most importantly flexibility to eat what you want. If you have food allergies please exclude the ingredient from the recipe.

 

What if I have health or medical conditions?

As always, best practice is to check with your doctor prior to starting any new exercise or nutrition program that could impact your health.

 

Is this program for me?
